Crystal Palace have made a concrete move for AJ Auxerre midfielder Kévin Danois. According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, as reported by Yahoo Sports, the London club has opened discussions with Auxerre over a fee of around €30 million, not including bonuses.
Danois, 22, came through the Auxerre academy and made his professional debut with the club in January 2023. He was part of the squad that secured the Burgundians' return to the top flight before establishing himself as a regular starter in Ligue 1. Last season he started 32 of the 33 league matches in which he appeared, scoring three goals and adding one assist.
He holds two caps for France at Under-21 level and is under contract with Auxerre through 2029.
His performances have drawn attention from clubs in France and abroad in recent weeks. Crystal Palace's approach, which included direct discussions over a transfer fee, represents the most concrete offer to emerge publicly so far.
