The Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool had turned into a green mess, and the country’s situation seemed dire, according to TheWrap. Kimmel joked that Trump had somehow fixed all these issues in just three months, according to a report from Rolling Stone. He said the president’s nickname was DJ Jazzy Donald and that he had solved every problem. The audience at the studio booed at this comment, but Kimmel acted surprised by their reaction.
He asked if Truth Social had reported that Trump had made America great again. Kimmel pointed out that Trump’s approval ratings were at a record low while gas prices were at a record high. He also noted that the Strait of Hormuz remained closed, a situation that had not improved.
Kimmel joked that Blockbuster Video had a better chance of reopening than the Strait of Hormuz. He also commented on Trump’s appearance, noting how his hair color seemed to have changed.
Kimmel said it looked like Trump was aging in reverse. He also took aim at Trump’s recent social media activity, which included AI-generated content. Kimmel said that Trump posted over thirty times in one day, including a video of himself as a Green Lantern.
Trump also suggested renaming New Mexico to New America and his official store sold Lake America hats for $55. Kimmel said it was almost as if Trump was welcoming him back to work with all these posts.
He also noted that Trump had canceled the word ‘Ontario’ and introduced a new line of merchandise. Kimmel’s return to the show followed several guest hosts who stepped in during the summer.
These included Jelly Roll and Rosie O’Donnell, both of whom criticized Trump during their appearances.
Kimmel’s monologue was a mix of satire and criticism, highlighting the contrast between Trump’s summer behavior and the nation’s ongoing problems. He said it felt like Trump was more out of control than ever.
