Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got married Friday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with Stevie Nicks performing at the ceremony. Good Morning America hosts Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan, and George Stephanopoulos confirmed the performance after attending the wedding. "We can confirm that, yes, Stevie Nicks did perform," Roberts said on the show. What song Nicks performed, and whether she performed alongside anyone, remained unclear as of Saturday.
According to Rolling Stone, the couple did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Swift's brother Austin Swift served as her Man of Honor. Jason Kelce was the Best Man. The ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler.
The guest list was packed with musicians. Swift's close collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner attended, along with Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, the Haim sisters, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, and Maren Morris. Friends including Gigi Hadid, Lena Dunham, Zoë Kravitz, and Abigail Andersen were also present. Karli Kloss attended with her husband Joshua Kushner, which Rolling Stone noted was a surprise given rumors of a rift between her and Swift.
Nicks and Swift have a long history of mutual admiration. In 2024, Nicks wrote a poem titled "For T — and me" for Swift's album The Tortured Poets Department, which appeared on physical copies of the record. Swift, in turn, name-dropped Nicks in the final track of the standard album, "Clara Bow." Nicks had publicly supported the couple before the wedding. "She's in a good place right now, and I think she has a good man," Nicks said in a 2024 Rolling Stone interview. She added: "I hope they fall deeper and deeper in love and ride off into the sunset. He does his thing and she does her thing, and then they come back together and get married and have babies if she wants that. I just want all of that for her."
Swift spoke about Nicks on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert late last year. "I have Stevie Nicks in my life in a way that affects me positively constantly," she told Colbert. "Being able to talk to her and have a phone call with her and hear what she's been through … I feel very lucky that she's lended her very magical, wonderful, wise approach to life to me."
Before the ceremony, Swift and Kelce pledged $26 million to charities across the United States. According to Billboard, the donations included contributions to the Grammy Museum Foundation, New York Cares, Harvesters in Kansas City, and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which received $2 million. Many of the beneficiaries are in places with personal significance to the couple, including Reading, Pennsylvania, and Cleveland, their respective hometowns, as well as Nashville, Kansas City, and several New York City organizations.
Parton responded with a video message on Instagram on Friday. "Taylor and Travis, it's Dolly," she began. "I was just told that you two are making a donation of $2 million to my Imagination Library. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm blown away and overjoyed with that gratitude." She closed the video by singing a snippet of her 1974 classic "I Will Always Love You."
The White House did not stay quiet. Shortly after the wedding, the official White House Twitter account posted a meme riffing on the illuminated signs that appeared outside Madison Square Garden after the couple said their vows. Those signs read "JUST&T MARRIED." The meme replaced that text with "Trump Is Your President." "IT'S HAPPENED!!!" the account wrote alongside the image. Earlier in the day, the White House had shared a separate meme featuring an Eras Tour-style poster of Trump with the caption, "It's been a long time coming..."
Trump's friction with Swift stretches back years. After Swift endorsed Kamala Harris in 2024, Trump wrote on Truth Social, "I hate Taylor Swift." In 2025, he added, "Has anyone noticed that, since I said 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' she's no longer 'HOT?'" The tension goes back further still. In 2018, when Swift voiced support for Democratic Senate candidate Phil Bredesen over Republican Marsha Blackburn in Tennessee, Trump addressed reporters outside the White House. "I'm sure Taylor Swift knows nothing, and doesn't know anything about [Blackburn]," he said, adding, "I like Taylor's music about 25 percent less now, OK?"
The couple announced their marriage in a press release moments after the ceremony concluded Friday evening.
