Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are married. A representative for Swift confirmed the wedding to ABC News on Friday. The ceremony took place in New York City and was officiated by actor and comedian Adam Sandler.

Sandler has a connection to both the bride and groom. He starred in the 2025 film "Happy Gilmore 2" alongside Kelce, who had a cameo, and has appeared as a guest on Kelce's "New Heights" podcast. Sandler has also spoken publicly about being a fan of Swift's music. In a 2024 interview with Conan O'Brien, he said of her songs, "There's not a word my kids don't know. I know them too, by the way."

Swift's brother, Austin, served as her man of honor. Kelce's brother, Jason, served as his best man. According to Swift's representative, they were the only two members of the wedding party. Both the bride and groom wore custom looks by Dior. Swift's gown was haute couture, designed by Jonathan Anderson. The representative said both Swift and Kelce worked in close collaboration with Anderson on their ceremony looks.

The wedding was a two-day celebration held at Madison Square Garden, the world-famous arena that is home to the New York Knicks. More than 1,000 guests attended. On Thursday evening, Swift and Kelce held a smaller gathering at the arena for around 100 people, according to sources familiar with the plans. An SUV with tinted windows believed to be carrying Swift was photographed arriving at MSG around 5 p.m. that day. For both events, a strict no-phone policy was in place for guests, vendors, and security personnel.

MSG marked the occasion with a sign that lit up to read "JUST&T MARRIED," referencing the couple's first names. Celebrities photographed arriving at the arena Friday for a cocktail hour included actors Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, and Jason Sudeikis, singer Benson Boone, soccer legend Abby Wambach, and NFL players Chris Jones and Cooper Kupp, all in black-tie attire.

No official wedding photos have been released by the couple.

Just hours before Thursday's event, a Swift representative confirmed that she and Kelce had donated $26 million to charities in New York City and across the United States.

The couple announced their engagement on August 26 of last year in a joint Instagram post. Swift wrote in the caption, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married." The post included photos of the flower-filled proposal and a close-up of Swift's ring, an old-mine brilliant-cut diamond custom-designed by Kelce and jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry in New York City.

Their relationship began in the summer of 2023, when Kelce attended one of Swift's Eras Tour shows at Arrowhead Stadium and tried to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. He later described the attempt on his podcast. "I'm the one that did the whole friendship bracelet thing and told everybody how butthurt I was that I didn't get to meet Taylor," he said in a September 2023 episode of "New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce."

Swift attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game that September. By November, Kelce confirmed the relationship in an interview with WSJ. Magazine. "I've never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them," he said. "I've never dealt with it. But at the same time, I'm not running away from any of it."

Swift was named TIME Person of the Year at the end of 2023 and said at that time that they take turns going to each other's games and shows as a way of showing up for each other. "We're just proud of each other," she said.
