The Seattle Mariners rallied to defeat the Chicago Cubs 5-4 at T-Mobile Park. Randy Arozarena homered twice for Seattle, beginning with a leadoff shot in the first inning and ending with a dramatic two-run walk-off homer in the ninth. Seattle entered the bottom of the ninth trailing 4-2 before Leo Rivas delivered a two-out RBI single and Arozarena followed with the game-winning blast. Mariners rookie Kade Anderson allowed three earned runs over 5 2/3 innings in his major league debut. Michael Rucker earned the win, while Jacob Webb took the loss for Chicago.
The Boston Red Sox scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth to defeat the San Francisco Giants 3-2 at Fenway Park. Willy Adames and Andrew Knizner hit solo home runs to give San Francisco a 2-0 advantage. Boston remained scoreless until the ninth, when pinch-hitter Eli White drove in the first run with a single and Nick Sogard doubled home another to tie the game. Wilyer Abreu then hit a ground ball to first baseman Bryce Eldridge, whose throw home was unable to retire White. White was ruled safe, and the call was upheld after a Giants challenge. Wyatt Olds earned the victory for Boston. Attendance was 36,478.
The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the New York Yankees 4-3 at Yankee Stadium behind an impressive outing from Dylan Cease. Cease carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning before Jazz Chisholm Jr. broke it up with two outs. Cease allowed two hits and one run over 6 2/3 innings while striking out eight and walking five. Toronto built a 3-0 lead before Austin Wells delivered an RBI single in the seventh. Nathan Lukes homered in the eighth to give Toronto a 4-1 advantage. Luis García Jr. answered with a two-run homer for New York in the bottom of the eighth, but Louie Varland protected the lead in the ninth for his 29th save. Attendance was 46,231.
The Athletics rallied for three runs in the eighth inning to defeat the Houston Astros 4-3 at Daikin Park. Donovan Walton opened the scoring with a solo home run in the third inning. Houston tied the game on an RBI double by Yainer Diaz in the fourth before Daulton Varsho homered and Jeremy Peña added an RBI single in the seventh to put the Astros ahead 3-1. The Athletics responded in the eighth, scoring on a wild pitch before Lawrence Butler tied the game with an RBI single. Jonah Heim followed with a groundout that scored Butler with the go-ahead run. Luis Medina earned the win, and Elvis Alvarado pitched the ninth for his third save.
The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3 at Dodger Stadium after overcoming a three-run deficit. Pittsburgh jumped ahead in the first inning when Oneil Cruz hit a two-run triple and Rafael Flores Jr. followed with an RBI groundout. Tarik Skubal settled down after the difficult first inning and retired 20 of his final 23 batters. Los Angeles scored twice in the fourth on RBI singles by Teoscar Hernández and Alek Thomas. Kyle Tucker then drove in the tying and go-ahead runs with a single in the fifth. Skubal allowed three runs and five hits over seven innings while striking out 11 and walking one to earn his first victory as a Dodger. Tanner Scott pitched a perfect ninth for his 19th save.
The Cleveland Guardians defeated the Colorado Rockies 4-3 at Coors Field. Jo Adell supplied the biggest hit for Cleveland, launching a three-run homer in the fourth inning after José Ramírez singled. Colorado answered when Troy Johnston doubled home Willi Castro, and Mickey Moniak added a solo home run in the fifth. Cleveland added another run to extend its advantage before Colorado made a late push. Connor Norby homered off Cade Smith to lead off the ninth, cutting Cleveland's lead to one run, but Smith retired the next three batters for his 33rd save. The Los Angeles Angels shut out the Texas Rangers 3-0 at Globe Life Field as three Angels pitchers combined on a one-hitter. Rookie Ryan Johnson carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning and finished with a career-high seven innings, allowing only one hit while striking out three. Mike Trout gave Los Angeles the lead with an RBI single in the first inning. Moisés Ballesteros doubled home Trout in the sixth, and Vaughn Grissom added an RBI single in the eighth. Michael Fulmer worked the eighth before rookie Ryan Watson finished the game for his second save of the season. Johnson improved to 3-7 with the victory.
The New York Mets defeated the Chicago White Sox 10-5 at Rate Field, powered by five home runs. Luis Robert Jr. homered twice against his former team and finished with three RBIs. Bo Bichette, Carson Benge and Luis Torrens also went deep for New York. Benge finished with three hits and two RBIs, while Jared Young collected two hits and scored twice. Austin Warren earned the victory after pitching 1 2/3 scoreless innings with three strikeouts. Luis Castillo took the loss for Chicago after allowing four earned runs on eight hits in 2 2/3 innings. The San Diego Padres rallied to defeat the Minnesota Twins 7-5 at Petco Park. Minnesota built an early lead behind solo home runs from Luke Keaschall, Brooks Lee and Kaelen Culpepper. Jackson Merrill answered with a solo homer for San Diego in the bottom of the second. The Padres entered the seventh trailing 5-3 before producing a four-run rally. Jake Cronenworth doubled home two runs to pull San Diego within one, then raced home with the tying run when Minnesota committed a throwing error. Ty France followed with an RBI single to give the Padres the lead. Griffin Canning earned the victory in relief, improving to 4-9, and Mason Miller pitched a scoreless ninth for his 32nd save.
