New England answered with an Andy Borregales field goal before Tommy DeVito connected with Kyle Williams for a 69-yard touchdown. Tanner McKee later threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Britain Covey, giving Philadelphia a 14-10 halftime lead. DeVito finished 8 of 15 for 151 yards and one touchdown while adding 44 rushing yards. McKee completed 16 of 22 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns. In the fourth quarter, New England's Lan Larison scored on a 2-yard run before McKee found Carson Steele for a 20-yard touchdown that put Philadelphia back in front. Patriots quarterback Behren Morton then led the winning drive, throwing a 37-yard touchdown pass to Nick DeGennaro in the final minute.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers rallied to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 16-15 at Raymond James Stadium. Kansas City led 9-0 at halftime behind three Harrison Butker field goals, including a 69-yarder on the final play of the second quarter. Tampa Bay rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels led three scoring drives in the second half. Daniels completed 9 of 14 passes for 71 yards and threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Ko Kieft. Sean Tucker added a 1-yard rushing touchdown, while B.T. Potter kicked a 46-yard field goal. Kansas City's Emmett Johnson scored on a 1-yard run, but Butker missed the extra point after a penalty forced a re-kick. Butker later missed a 43-yard field goal that would have put the Chiefs ahead.
The Los Angeles Rams shut out the New Orleans Saints 34-0 at SoFi Stadium. Stetson Bennett IV passed for 181 yards and scored two rushing touchdowns as Los Angeles built a 20-0 halftime lead. Bennett played the entire first half and completed 19 of 31 passes. Harrison Mevis kicked two 26-yard field goals and four extra points, accounting for 10 of Los Angeles' points. Rams defensive back Alex Cook returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter, and Jarquez Hunter added a 12-yard touchdown run. Hunter finished with 68 rushing yards on 12 carries. The Rams defense kept New Orleans off the scoreboard throughout the game.
The New York Giants defeated the Miami Dolphins 26-3 at Hard Rock Stadium. Jameis Winston threw for 150 yards and scored on an 11-yard run during the first half. Devin Singletary rushed eight times for 40 yards and scored on a 13-yard run to help New York take control. Rookie kicker Dominic Zvada made field goals from 43 and 32 yards and converted two extra points. Ben Sauls handled the second-half kicking duties and added two more field goals. Miami's only points came on a 53-yard field goal by Riley Patterson. The Giants outgained the Dolphins 390-102 and improved to 1-1 in the preseason, while Miami fell to 0-2.
The Buffalo Bills defeated the Cleveland Browns 31-7 at Huntington Bank Field. Buffalo scored on its opening possession when Ray Davis ran for a 1-yard touchdown, but Cleveland answered when Shedeur Sanders connected with Luke Floriea for an 8-yard touchdown. Sanders finished the first half with 74 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception. Buffalo took the lead before halftime when Kyle Allen threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman Jr. Tyler Bass added a 52-yard field goal in the third quarter before Shane Buechele connected with Ja'Mori Maclin for a 71-yard touchdown. Maclin finished with 108 receiving yards. Buechele completed the scoring with a 5-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
The Atlanta Falcons defeated the Indianapolis Colts 34-6 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Atlanta led 10-6 after the first quarter, getting a 51-yard field goal from Nick Folk and a 49-yard touchdown run from Tyler Goodson. Indianapolis scored all six of its points on field goals of 48 and 53 yards by Spencer Shrader. Nathan Carter scored on a 1-yard run for Atlanta in the second quarter, and rookie quarterback Jack Strand connected with Cash Jones for a 13-yard touchdown to give the Falcons a 24-6 halftime lead. Strand finished 12 of 17 for 212 yards and one touchdown and added a 16-yard rushing score in the third quarter. Folk closed the scoring with a 50-yard field goal. Atlanta outgained Indianapolis 461-164.
The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Arizona Cardinals 34-13 at State Farm Stadium behind a strong performance from quarterback Joe Milton. Milton completed 9 of 13 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns while also scoring on the ground. He threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Malik Davis and later connected with Jonathan Mingo for a 53-yard touchdown. A 70-yard completion to Camden Brown set up Milton's short touchdown run as Dallas built a 24-6 halftime advantage. Jaydon Blue rushed for 75 yards on 15 carries. Dallas' defense also contributed early when Shavon Revel intercepted Arizona quarterback Gardner Minshew and returned the ball 22 yards. The Cowboys improved to 2-0 in preseason play, while Arizona fell to 1-2.
The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Minnesota Vikings 13-3 at U.S. Bank Stadium. Tyler Loop opened the scoring with a 49-yard field goal in the second quarter. Minnesota's Will Reichard tied the game with a 52-yard field goal on the final play of the first half. Baltimore took control in the third quarter when rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to LaJohntay Wester. Fagnano completed 15 of 20 passes for 123 yards and one touchdown without an interception. Loop added a 20-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to complete the scoring. Baltimore's defense recorded five sacks and forced two turnovers as the Ravens improved to 2-0.
The Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Chicago Bears 27-9 at Paycor Stadium. Chicago opened the scoring with a 45-yard field goal by Cairo Santos before Evan McPherson answered with a 25-yard field goal for Cincinnati. Forty-year-old quarterback Josh Johnson then took control, finishing 15 of 23 for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Johnson threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to rookie Colbie Young and a 6-yard score to Tanner Hudson late in the second quarter. Sean Clifford replaced Johnson in the second half and connected with Noah Thomas for a 20-yard touchdown. Santos made field goals from 26 and 44 yards for Chicago but missed from 53. McPherson added a 58-yard field goal to complete Cincinnati's scoring.
The Detroit Lions defeated the Washington Commanders 17-13 at Ford Field. Washington scored first when Joshua Josephs recovered a Joshua Dobbs fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. Dobbs responded on Detroit's next possession by breaking loose for a 50-yard touchdown run. He finished 7 of 12 passing for 74 yards with one interception and also rushed for 53 yards. Washington regained the lead on a 27-yard Drew Stevens field goal in the third quarter, but Trayveon Williams scored on a 1-yard run to put Detroit ahead 14-10. Stevens added a 32-yard field goal in the fourth quarter before Jake Bates kicked a 37-yard field goal with 2:26 remaining to give Detroit its final four-point margin. The Lions improved to 1-1, while Washington also moved to 1-1.
