Maingear has released a new lineup of pre-built desktop computers under its Zero brand, featuring the company's patented hidden cable technology and NVIDIA's latest graphics cards, with prices ranging from $2,799 to $6,499.
As Engadget reported, the machines use Maingear's Rear Connector technology, known as MG-RC, which shifts standard power and data cable headers to the rear and underside of the motherboard. When paired with a compatible case, the system hides all wiring from view, leaving only the CPU socket, memory, water-cooling tubes, and PCIe slots visible from the front.
The company said the new Zero models take the visibility concept further than any gaming PC Maingear has previously built. The top-end Zero Launch Edition, which will be sold in limited numbers at $6,499, pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card. It also includes space inside the chassis to display figurine and brick collectibles alongside the hardware. An optional curved panoramic OLED screen on the AIO cooler can loop gameplay footage or be matched to a display theme.
A comparable Intel-based Launch Edition model starts at $6,199, using an Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processor with the same RTX 5090 GPU.
Mid-range options are also available. The Zero Sapphire and Zero Elite models feature Intel Core Ultra 7 270K and AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D processors paired with NVIDIA RTX 5080 GPUs, starting at $3,799 and $4,099. The entry-level Zero Emerald and Platinum systems use Intel Core Ultra 5 250K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D chips with RTX 5070 graphics cards, starting at $2,799 and $2,999, targeting 1440p gaming performance.
Maingear holds a patent on the MG-RC system and has built its brand around the clean-cable aesthetic. The technology requires compatible motherboards, such as MSI's Project Zero line, which moves cable connectors away from the standard front-facing positions.
All models in the new Zero lineup are currently available for purchase.
